Available for rent as 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, Casa Playa Felipe Flores is a secluded three bedroom beach house located on the beautiful Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula (map). Eleven kilometers south of Mahahual on Costa Maya beach road, this private home is utilized occasionally by the owners, but is available for rent most times of the year on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis. Tropical plants and palm trees surround the house.

If you enjoy the crowds and the bar scenes of Playa del Carmen and Cancun, Casa Playa Felipe Flores is not for you. Away from the large tourist groups, here you enjoy the quiet beaches, the beautiful Caribbean waters and breezes, palm trees, exotic birds, the stars, sunrises and sunsets, yet restaurants are nearby.

Accommodations

The three bedrooms, each with its own entrance and private bath, sleep nine. The master bedroom on the second level has a queen bed. Two bedrooms are located on the first level of the house. The first has two double beds; the second bedroom has a single and a double bed. The house also has a full kitchen.

The second-level (right) has a dining area, a small kitchen with bar, and access to the veranda.

Enjoy eating outside on the second level veranda or on the expansive first level porch, as well as inside.

The environmentally conscious owners have installed solar energy and use gas for cooking and hot water. Solar system with inverter provides 110 electricity--good lighting, refrigeration, etc. Kayaks available for guest use. DVD.

The second-level veranda (right) overlooks the beach and the sparkling Caribbean waters. Sunsets from the house (below) and on the house (below right) are spectacular.

Diving, snorkeling, and fishing services are located nearby. Chinchorro reef, the second largest in the world, is only one hour from Casa Playa Felipe Flores via a certified diving boat. The reef's clear turquoise waters offer fabulous underwater viewing of sea life and ship wrecks. Closer in, only 100 hundred yards from the house, is a smaller reef to which one can swim or kayak.
